The Nostalgia event was a huge success and we were thrilled to welcome back customers to the mall for our first live event in over a year. The lucky attendees learned about the coffee scent palette, different coffee beans, brewing methods and sampled some of Anne&Max’s finest coffees. Coffee lovers also got to indulge with a workshop and tasting at Anne&Max. Mr Looi shared his secrets of Asian cuisine and prepared a feast of Singaporean noodles, Asian spring rolls and Asian vegetables. Recipes included Mini Cheesecakes with Forest Fruits by Miljuschka and Pea and Mint Risotto by Jet van Nieuwkerk.Īsian supermarket Wah Nam Hong joined in the Nostalgia event by hosting chef Peng Looi for a live cooking demonstration and food tasting. We welcomed top influencer chefs Miljuschka and Jet van Nieuwkerk to our Fresh! kitchen for cooking workshops where they recreated their favourite nostalgic recipes for a group of lucky winners and their friends. The recipe cards were made available to all shoppers so they could shop the ingredients at the mall and then recreate the dishes at home.įollowing this we hosted a weekend jam-packed with live cooking and food events. The Nostalgia event began with retailers at our Fresh! food market creating their own nostalgic recipes using their signature ingredients and products. And after spending so much time at home this last year, it’s no surprise that traditional-style recipes and simple dishes continue to be popular choices by offering comfort and familiarity. The theme, Nostalgia, took inspiration from tasty childhood classics, delicious comfort food and family favourites. Retailers and top chefs joined forces to put on an incredible weekend of entertainment, live cooking demonstrations and food tastings for customers. Summer started with a bang thanks to our mouth-watering Nostalgia food event in June.
